UV & IR Components (linh kiện tử ngoại và hồng ngoại, ultraviolet & infrared optoelectronic components) là nhóm linh kiện quang điện tử (optoelectronic components) làm việc ngoài vùng ánh sáng nhìn thấy, gồm UV LED, IR LED, IR emitter, IR receiver, UV sensor, IR sensor, photodiode UV/IR, phototransistor IR, optical detector. Các linh kiện này phát hoặc thu bức xạ điện từ ở dải ultraviolet (UV: ~200–400nm) và infrared (IR: ~700nm–1mm).
Trong hệ thống điện tử, IR emitter + IR receiver/photodiode/phototransistor thường tạo thành optical sensing pair (cặp phát–thu quang) để phát hiện vật cản, khoảng cách hoặc trạng thái. Linh kiện UV được dùng khi cần phát hiện bức xạ năng lượng cao hoặc phản ứng hóa học – sinh học.
Nhóm linh kiện này có fast response optical detection, non-contact sensing (cảm biến không tiếp xúc), low power consumption, hoạt động ổn định trong môi trường bụi, rung hoặc cần cách ly điện (optical isolation, optocoupler).
