AC / AC Power Supply (bộ nguồn AC-AC, AC voltage converter, AC transformer power supply) là thiết bị chuyển đổi điện áp xoay chiều (AC) từ mức này sang mức khác nhưng vẫn giữ dạng AC output. Không giống AC-DC converter, nguồn AC-AC không chỉnh lưu sang DC mà chủ yếu tăng/giảm điện áp hoặc cách ly điện (isolation) giữa đầu vào và đầu ra.
Thiết bị thường sử dụng power transformer, isolation transformer, step-down transformer, step-up transformer, toroidal transformer, autotransformer (variac) hoặc solid-state AC voltage regulator. Một số loại còn tích hợp voltage stabilizer (AVR), soft start control, EMI filter và surge protection để ổn định điện áp lưới.
Chức năng: AC voltage conversion, galvanic isolation, noise reduction, equipment protection, line conditioning cho thiết bị dùng điện xoay chiều.
Ứng dụng: thiết bị công nghiệp, audio amplifier nguồn AC, thiết bị phòng thí nghiệm, máy đo, thiết bị y tế, máy CNC, motor AC, lighting system, transformer isolation bench, test equipment, voltage regulation system.
