Fixed Value Resistors (điện trở cố định, fixed resistor, resistor component) là passive electronic component (linh kiện thụ động) có giá trị điện trở không thay đổi, dùng để hạn dòng (current limiting), phân áp (voltage divider), kéo lên/kéo xuống mức logic (pull-up/pull-down), đặt bias, và bảo vệ linh kiện trong mạch điện tử.
Điện trở tuân theo định luật Ohm (V = I·R), chuyển đổi năng lượng điện thành nhiệt nên được dùng để ổn định tín hiệu, định mức dòng, tạo tham chiếu điện áp và kết thúc đường truyền (termination resistor). Đây là linh kiện xuất hiện trong hầu hết analog circuit, digital circuit, RF circuit, power supply, embedded systems, PCB design.
Các loại phổ biến: carbon film resistor, metal film resistor, metal oxide resistor, thick film SMD resistor, thin film precision resistor, wirewound resistor, current sense resistor (shunt resistor), high power resistor, high voltage resistor, resistor array/network với chuẩn SMD (0201, 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206…) và through-hole THT.
Thông số quan trọng: resistance value (Ω, kΩ, MΩ), tolerance (±1%, ±5%…), power rating (1/16W–5W+), temperature coefficient TCR (ppm/°C), maximum working voltage, noise, stability.
