EMI / RFI Suppression (chống nhiễu điện từ và nhiễu tần số vô tuyến, electromagnetic interference & radio frequency interference suppression) là nhóm linh kiện và giải pháp bảo vệ tín hiệu nhằm giảm nhiễu phát xạ (emission) và tăng khả năng miễn nhiễm nhiễu (immunity) trong mạch điện tử. Nhiễu EMI/RFI thường sinh ra từ switching power supply, motor, RF transmitter, digital clock tốc độ cao, đường truyền dài và có thể gây treo vi điều khiển, sai dữ liệu hoặc không đạt chuẩn EMC.
Các linh kiện chính gồm ferrite bead, ferrite core, common mode choke, EMI filter, LC filter, feedthrough capacitor, X/Y safety capacitor, shielding can, TVS diode, MOV varistor, RC snubber network, line filter module. Chúng hoạt động bằng cách hấp thụ, suy hao, chặn hoặc dẫn nhiễu cao tần xuống ground (noise attenuation, high-frequency noise filtering, conducted emission reduction).
