Power Supply (bộ nguồn, power supply unit – PSU, AC-DC/DC-DC converter) là thiết bị hoặc module điện tử dùng để chuyển đổi và cung cấp điện áp/dòng điện ổn định cho mạch từ các nguồn như AC mains, pin, ắc quy hoặc bus DC. Nguồn điện đảm bảo thiết bị hoạt động đúng thông số bằng cách ổn áp (voltage regulation), lọc nhiễu (power filtering) và bảo vệ quá tải.
Các loại phổ biến: AC-DC power supply, DC-DC converter (buck converter, boost converter, buck-boost), linear regulator (LDO), switching power supply (SMPS), adapter, open frame power supply, enclosed power supply, DIN rail power supply, battery charger module. Nguồn switching có hiệu suất cao, còn linear regulator có low noise output phù hợp mạch analog/RF.
Chức năng bảo vệ thường tích hợp: overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), short circuit protection (SCP), thermal shutdown, surge protection, EMI filter stage, isolation transformer.
Ứng dụng: vi điều khiển và IoT (ESP32, Arduino), thiết bị công nghiệp, automation controller, telecom equipment, router, LED driver, motor driver, measurement instrument, embedded systems, robotics, medical electronics.
