DC / DC UPS (bộ nguồn liên tục DC, DC UPS module, uninterruptible power supply for DC systems) là thiết bị cung cấp điện áp DC ổn định ngay cả khi nguồn chính bị mất, bằng cách tự động chuyển sang pin/ắc quy dự phòng mà không làm gián đoạn hoạt động của thiết bị (no-break power). Hệ thống kết hợp battery charging circuit, power path management, DC-DC regulation và automatic switchover.
Khi có nguồn vào, UPS vừa cấp nguồn cho tải vừa sạc pin (battery charger & load sharing); khi mất điện, mạch seamless transition / fast switchover (µs–ms) duy trì điện áp ra liên tục. Nhiều module tích hợp buck/boost regulator, protection controller và monitoring để giữ điện áp ổn định dù điện áp pin thay đổi.
Chức năng bảo vệ: overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, overcurrent protection (OCP), short circuit protection (SCP), reverse polarity protection, thermal protection, battery management support (BMS interface).
Ứng dụng: router, modem, camera IP/CCTV, access control, IoT gateway, Raspberry Pi/embedded computer, PLC nhỏ, thiết bị viễn thông, hệ giám sát từ xa, trạm cảm biến, hệ thống báo động.
Thông số quan trọng: input voltage range (9–36VDC…), output voltage (5V/9V/12V/24V), output current, battery type (Li-ion/LiFePO4/lead-acid), charging current, transfer time, backup time, efficiency, standby consumption.
